  • Ford Diesel Truck Lawsuit Seeks Relief For Defective Engine

The Strom Law Firm, L.L.C. is currently reviewing claims Ford owners who bought a Super Duty Truck or Excursion constructed with the 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel engine manufactured  between 2003 and 2007.

The engines, which were produced by Navistar (formerly referred to as International Truck and Engine Corporation) and utilized in {approximately|roughly|as many as 300,000 Ford Diesel pick up trucks each year, are alleged to be affected with significant and pervasive design and manufacturing defects.  These problems are alleged to render the truck unsuitable for use. Many truck owners contend that the Ford 6.0L diesel engine is defective and will lead to breakdowns.

Common complaints consist of significant, recurring, and costly breakdowns. Known problems include, but aren't limited to problematic injectors and required turbocharger replacements.

Upon information and belief, Ford’s F-Super Duty Truck line has been among Ford’s most popular vehicle lines through the years and Ford has often boasted about the truck’s first rate quality, efficiency and durability. While Ford continued to market the engine’s superiority, Ford was proceeding with their own claim against Navistar for failing to contribute its share of the substantial warranty costs that Ford was taking on to correct, exchange, or repurchase a significant number of Ford trucks equipped with the 6.0L Diesel Engine.
